Whether they're playing at a brewery pub, a coffee shop, or on the mainstage, the Michigan based band Drake perks their audience’s ears and gets their toes tapping with an eclectic mix of folk and rock music.
Drake has performed all over the “Northen Skies” of the Midwest including venues in Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing MI, Elizabethtown KY, Indianapolis IN, Chicago IL, Cleveland OH, Columbus OH and everywhere in between. Experience guides them as they continue to spread their music. In fall of 2007, they were selected to open for comedian Mike Birbiglia on his Comedy Central Tour at City Opera House in Traverse City Michigan.
Though they are both accomplished vocalists and guitarists, lead writers Eric Engblade and Nathan Schleicher round out their performances with mandolins, banjos, and more in any given set. As a full five piece band they are sure to get your feet dancing with a mix of original and familiar cover songs with Emily Carlson on violin, Nic Cole on bass, and Paul "the Woz" Wozniak on percussion. Their most recent release, “Northern Skies”, was recorded at River City Studios in Grand Rapids, MI and critics and fans agree it is their most formative release to date.
